The Year of Home Offices
The biggest change of 2020-2021? Working from home. This is one that we couldn't see coming and one that came up quickly, leaving most scrambling to get set up and find the proper space and atmosphere. It is normal to feel lethargic and unmotivated in your own home, so it is very important to have a separate room or segregate a specific space for your office, away from the chaos. Those of us who have kids or fur kids can relate, right? Decorate this space in a way that feels comforting and inviting, making you want to get up, get dressed and head to another part of your house to get some work done. Add some plants, a fun lamp, a splash of colour and maybe even an accent wall if you’re feeling artsy. Incorporate anything that makes it feel like your space but without it feeling too comfortable. Try as many different layouts within this allotted area as you’d like, and if you're like me, switch up the layout once in a while so it's always feeling fresh.
Working from home can have as many pros as it has cons by the way. Take advantage of being able to eat better, not having to commute to work, and enjoy not having to deal with the office chatter box. Oh, you'll be getting used to this in working from home thing in no time!
Tip: Don’t have great service at your house? Most mobile providers have an option for wifi calling so check for it in your phone's settings. If you have it, throw that cell phone booster away and start enjoying the better reception right away! You can thank me later when you call me to help you sell or buy a property. :D
