No matter what we're doing in life, we are naturally always looking for something unique to the market, someone who does things a bit different, a bit better... This is why I like what Rothesay Eye is doing. They're a fun business who have started up just over a year ago that offer everything you might expect but with a strong focus on customer service and being up on the latest fashion trends. You don't have to look far for help when you step through their doors, and you don't have to look far to see various trendy frame options either.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing what they were all about when I was buying some non prescription sunglasses. I tried everything from the classic aviators to some edgy shapely frames, to frames of almost every colour from brands such as Hugo Boss, Maui Jim, Zeal, Oakley, Ray Ban and more. There are frames from European countries such as France and Italy, but some of my faves were from a fast rising Canadian brand Spectacle Eyeworks from Vancouver, a brand Rothesay Eye's Manager told me they sell a lot of, not to mention they are hand crafted frames and lenses!
My experience was that providing the highest level of customer service didn't only come natural to them, they seemed to really geek out over it, much like I do when I see a unique or custom high end feature in a home I'm viewing. I even got opinions on favourite frames from their in house Optometrist. I felt like what I would like to think was a much more rugged version of Vivian from Pretty Woman while trying to find the frames that best fit both my fat head and my personality. While I don't think for a second that everyone getting involved is the norm for this, I do think it reflects on how much they cared to help and wanted to help me pick the best possible option.
They're fun, they're helpful, and they truly seem to be passionate about glasses and fashionable frames. For those reasons and more I do believe they're a refreshing new local business you might find it helpful to know about, and one so worth checking out when you find yourself in the market for not just new glasses, but attractive or unique glasses that actually fit your personality as well as your face.
