WEATHERSKIN

I met up with Mike and Al from Weatherskin the other day to find out what the buzz is about, and in my opinion it's worthy of a buzz.  On top of that, these guys are super genuine dudes.

Weatherskin is a brand that has over 30 products, is tried and tested, and has unlimited colours and so many applications. He hasn't done one this colour yet but due to the unlimited colour options, one of the things Mike says to potential clients to get the point across is "You want a hot pink roof?... It's comin atcha!"  It's been saving big companies and property owners a lot of money, there's a seemingly unlimited demand for their product, and the word is hardly even out yet! They have a great alternative to stucco that is great for an east coast climate, and their product can be applied to so many surfaces and is designed to last for decades on anything from garage floors, to waterproofing foundations, to vinyl siding, to brick, to a metal roof of any age. All of the roof transformations Weatherskin has been a part of have made an amazing difference to the look and durability and it's roughly 1/3 the cost of replacement. Sometimes that the difference between having room in the budget to be able to waterproof or not, and it's as good as new or better when it's done.

Inground pools are another item that can benefit greatly from the Weatherskin product. The best part of all in my opinion is that you get to pick your colour! You'll only have so many design options for pool liners, but the colour options with this product are endless, giving you so much freedom to match the look of your pool to its surroundings or even make the pool the focal point and conversation piece.

When I asked Mike and Al what they liked most, I expected to hear something about day to day business, but what they both answered with without skipping a beat was the reactions from their clients when they see the difference it makes was the most enjoyable part of what they do. Finding out how much money they've saved their clients is something else they enjoy and take pride in. "We've saved government and municipalities hundreds of thousands on one job numerous times now. It's great to see a school be able to fix an ongoing leak and totally waterproof their exterior after years of not thinking they had it in the budget," says Al.  Supporting local in multiple ways is something these guys are passionate about which includes their product being 100% Canadian Manufactured. Another unique thing about this company is that it's single sourced. This means the same company manufactures it, sells it, installs it, and warranties it, a big advantage to the consumer.

Even though at this point large project are what they seem to be taking mostly, I think there's a use for this product at almost any property. If you or someone you know owns a large warehouse or commercial building of any kind or looks after one, do them a favour and make sure they're aware of this product. It will likely save them tens of thousands when it's time to renovate, and they can get the exact look they're going for at the same time.
